Shaun is a photographer and journalist with work published by a diverse array of Singaporean media, including but not limited to, The Straits Times, TODAY, CNA Online, My Paper, and JUICE Singapore.

Currently an undergraduate at the Wee Kim Wee School of Communication & Information, Shaun emerged as the winner of Canon Photo Face-Off 2, a photography competition that aired on History Asia in 2015.

He was also the winner of Canon Photo Clinic 2016, which took place in Japan.

His photographic work has been exhibited by Canon Asia and Noise Singapore on multiple occasions, and he has been a guest speaker at talks hosted by Canon Singapore, and Temasek Polytechnic.

Clients include The Singapore Flyer, Burberry, Melissa Shoes, Zalora, Nespresso Singapore and Artichoke Singapore.

Shaun interned at Singapore Press Holding's mypaper as a journalist in 2011, and was a staff writer and photographer at,, and the Singapore Youth Olympic Games 2008. 

Why theonlyshaunever?

The moniker pays homage to one of his favourite bands, Alexisonfire, and his roots in music photography. It is also a tongue-in-cheek jab at anyone else named Shaun, which he grew up believing was a unique name.
